We are now recruiting:

Position: Primary Mental Health Worker x 2.
Location: Cardiff.
Hours: 30 – 37.5 hours per week.

Salary: £21,930 per annum (pro rata).
Contract: Fixed Term, end date March 31st 2022.

Closing date: Friday 27th November 2020, 5pm.

We are recruiting 2 new staff to support patients within GP practices through a programme of guided self-help and to support the delivery of mental health and wellbeing courses in community venues. Each role will deliver within one or more of the Primary Care Cluster areas served by ACE (East Cardiff, South West Cardiff, West Cardiff and North Cardiff). 1 Part-time (30 hours per week) and 1 full-time role (37.5 hours per week) role is available, location of work to be agreed at interview stage.

You will report to the ACE Mental Health Coordinator and be part of the ACE Mental Health team. You should have a sound understanding of the needs of individuals with mild to moderate mental health issues, experience in delivering mental health initiatives and experience of supporting people with complex needs. Training in delivery of the courses and 1:1 work will be provided.

Position: Youth Support Officer.
Location:  Fairwater & Caerau.
Hours: 6-9 hours per week.
Days: Weekday evenings and occasional weekends.

Salary: ACE Grade 2 £21930 per annum (pro rata), £11.25 per hour.
Contract: Fixed-term, end date March 31st 2021.

Closing date: 4th December 2020.

We are recruiting a youth support officer to join our youth team, evening provisions for young people aged 10 – 18 in Fairwater & Caerau, street-based/outreach and street ACE delivery due to Covid restrictions. With a sound understanding of youth work principles, the post will work in partnership with young people, volunteers and partner organisations to develop and embed youth activities in community locations in these two areas. Location of work to be agreed at interview stage.

You will report to the Youth Development Officer and be part of ACE’s Youth Work team. You should be Level 3 qualified and have at least two years’ experience working in the youth & community work sector with a good understanding of how to support and develop youth-led activities.
