Thank you to our partners and funders
Our project is a creative exploration, working together with participants, project artists and partners. We will inspire and support each other and respond creatively to needs within our communities.
We aim to share artistic techniques and processes and learn new creative skills, along with offering trips and showcasing exhibitions that will help us connect and share our artwork and achievements with a wider audience.
Regular Art Workshops
As part of this project we currently run free weekly art workshops for adults on Mondays and Thursdays at the Dusty Forge, where community members can try lots of different types of art such as drawing, painting, ceramics and more.
Our Art Workshops aim to:
- Help more people enjoy the arts.
- Develop existing creative skills and learn new ones!
- Provide an opportunity to create artwork for exhibitions
- Improve mental health, confidence and general wellbeing
- Provide opportunities to develop social skills and make new friendships
- Develop strong creative partnerships with fellow art organisations and individuals
Like to join in?
All ages and abilities 16+ are welcome to join our regular groups. We invite anyone with an interest in being creative to get involved. All workshops and trips are free, we just ask that you are committed to attending a block of weekly daytime workshops. Sign-ups will be on a first come, first served basis.

Creative Grief Space
Creative Grief Space is a series of art workshops exploring ways we might use creativity as an emotional support tool for grief.
It is a chance for participants to explore and focus on special memories to express within your artwork, which can sometimes feel overwhelming to talk about.
During feedback participants said:
We are planning to run a series of Creative Grief Space workshops starting in December 2022, so please get in touch beforehand if you would like to participate in these.
CAER Heritage Art
