Our Community Shelter Space

Sam-and-Dave-Shelter-sml

As ACE begins to open its doors to returning and new community groups, projects and activities, we’ve thought carefully about how we can bring people back together safely. As we know, outdoors is safer and here at the Dusty Forge, we have a beautiful garden managed and maintained by volunteers and our friends from Grow Cardiff. This space is a buzz with wildlife, flowers and plants that make it the perfect place to meet, especially when the sun is shining. We wanted to make it feel home-ly and space that brings together the outdoors and a functional space where people can meet.

With this in mind, we approached our funder and partners at Macmillan Cancer Support who were able to fund the development of this new space. We are now able to deliver community compassionate projects that help fight loneliness and isolation, create community connections and help us live well in this outdoor space. A huge thank you to all of those involved.
