The Dusty Forge repair cafe is re-launching on Saturday 22 May 10.00am-1.00pm – so if you’ve got a wobbly stool, if your favourite lamp is on the blink, if your buggy wheels are squiffy, or if your bicycle needs basic care we’ve got friendly fixers who’ll do their best for you FOR FREE while you wait. PLUS our new digital fixer will be ready to offer 1-2-1 advice on how to make the most of your smartphone and tablet features, how to download apps and use them, how to use Skype, how to create and use FacebookTwitterInstagram profiles, how to use WhatsApp, basic texting and emailing, and how to maintain online security – especially when shopping and using social media. Please remember to bring your charger to make sure we can link you up for this new fixing service! This month our textile fixer will offer a drop-off service – if you bring your clothing item to be mended we’ll return it to your home address in a few days. Our friendly volunteer team look forward to welcoming you and explaining how we’re keeping everyone safe at our pop-up events…
