Dusty Forge Repair Cafe - Revives 65-Year-Old Local Teddy Bear

Rescued from a Caerau attic, a 65-year-old teddy bear has been revived by the Dusty Forge repair cafe’s textile fixer and returns to its childhood owner at our next repair cafe this coming Saturday. Ted’s head has been re-attached, its paws renewed, and its belly carefully mended so that this much-loved bear can live its best life again in west Cardiff.

Our friendly team of volunteer fixers will ‘pop up’ at the Dusty Forge 10.00am-1.00pm on Saturday 26 June. Our free while-you-wait repair service includes bears, bags, bikes, buggies, shopping trolleys, kettles and lamps – with a drop-off service for repairing wooden and ceramic items. We’ll also be offering a free 1-2-1 advice service to make the most of your digital devices – make sure to bring your charger! Find us on Cowbridge Road West at CF5 5BZ where our friendly volunteer hosts offer light refreshments while you wait – socially distanced of course! We can’t promise to mend everything but we’ll do our very best to repair your everyday household items as well as treasured items like Teddy…
