The Ely and Caerau Community Awards gives us all the chance to thank and reward all of the volunteers, community groups and organisations for their incredible support, and an opportunity for community members to do the same by nominating volunteers, community groups and organisations in Ely and Caerau that have made a difference to them and or their community.
Here are the categories for your nominations:
Volunteer of the Year
Recognises an individual making a significant impact in the community.
School Volunteer of the Year
Recognises a parent, teacher, family member or associate making a significant contribution to a local school.
Sports Volunteer of the Year
Recognises someone creating inclusive spaces and making a positive difference through sport.
Environmental / Bio-Diversity / Green Award
Recognises work supporting conservation, biodiversity and green spaces.
Volunteer Community Group of the Year
Honours volunteer teams (e.g. 3+ members) making a positive community impact.
Trustee/Coordinator of the Year
Recognises those who lead, support and coordinate volunteers.
When can I nominate a volunteer?
Nominations Open: Mon 1st June.
Nominations Close: 30th June.
You can make your nominations at the start of Volunteers Week, from Monday 1st of June and will close Tuesday 30th June.
The nomination votes will be considered by a panel of 6 volunteering peers during the month of July.
The Ely and Caerau Community Volunteering Awards 2026 will take place in September 2026.
