ACE – Our Place: Dusty Forge, Christmas Closure.

ACE-Xmas-Thankyou-2020-sml

ACE will be closed from the end of Wed 23rd Dec, and will reopen on Mon 4th Jan 2021.

We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

In the New Year, the Dusty Forge will continue to be open, operating subject to Covid-19 regulations in limited capacity.  A number of our activities and services are accessed by booking or invitation only. Sadly, we still are not able to fully open, as we once did before the Covid-19 crisis. This is to maintain safety and protection of staff, volunteers and community members using the building.

Your Local Pantry will have its last session on Dec 23rd, and will be back open on the 6th Jan. Pantry members will be contacted directly regarding bookings.

ACE Training will have new training and test days from January. These are:

Thursday 14th & Thursday 28th Jan for Qualsafe  Level 1 Health & Safety in the Construction Environment’ training, and

Friday 15th & Friday 29th Jan for CITB – CSCS Test.

Please contact ACE Training for any further information regarding future training dates.

Drop-in Advice service will have its last appointments on Mon 21st Dec 10am – 4pm, and will resume on Mon 4th Jan.  We will be prioritizing the last drop-in session for crisis support. Please call to book an appointment – 02920003132.

For support during our Christmas shutdown period, including Foodbank assessments, call the Cardiff Council advice line 029 20871071. More information is available at www.cardiffmoneyadvice.co.uk.

Health & Wellbeing services will operate with a limited staff team over the Christmas period and will be unavailable on some days.

If you are looking for advice or support in relation to your health or mental wellbeing, please contact your GP or, if outside of your practice’s opening hours, an out of hours GP.  If you are concerned or need advice then your GP is the best person to advise you, or in case of an emergency call 999.

More information about out of hours GP services can be found here: https://www.wales.nhs.uk/ourservices/gpoutofhoursservices

You can also contact a mental health helpline to get support from a mental health charity, such as the Samaritans – 116 123 (free 24-hour helpline).
