ACE – Our Place: Dusty Forge & Caer Community Heritage Centre Christmas Closure 2022

ACE - Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

ACE will be closed from 1.30pm on Friday 23rd December and will reopen on Tuesday 3rd January 2023.

Caer Community Heritage Centre will be closed from Friday 23rd December and will reopen on Tuesday 3rd January 2023.

We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Your Local Pantry will have its last session on 1pm, Friday 23rd Dec, and will be back open on Tuesday 3rd January. Pantry members will be contacted directly regarding bookings.

Crisis Hour is normally Monday to Friday, between 9am and 10am. However, the last day of service is Thursday 22nd December. No appointment is needed and if you turn up between these times you will be seen, but –  we now have a maximum number of 10 places. For those needing help with energy, we will now need to see a picture of the remaining balance on your meter in order to process claims. Bring this picture – as claims cannot be processed without it.

Drop-in Advice service will have its last appointments on Thursday 22nd December 10am – 3pm, and will resume on Thursday 5th January. Appointments are required for this service and can be made by contacting the office on 02920 003132.

Please be mindful that the foodbank centre will close at 3pm so if you are in need of a foodbank assessment you will need to allow enough time to be seen and get to the distribution centre to collect your food as they won’t be open until Thursday 29th December.

For support during our Christmas shutdown period, including Foodbank assessments, call the Cardiff Council Money Advice Service 029 2087 1071 or your local Cardiff Council Community Hub. More information is available at www.cardiffmoneyadvice.co.uk.

ACE Community Shop will close on Friday 23rd December at 1pm, and will reopen Tuesday 3rd January, 10am to 4pm.

ACE Training will have new training and test days from January. These are:

  • Tuesday 10th, 17th, 24th Jan and 31st January
for QNUK Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment (RQF) and Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS), and
