Our Place: Dusty Forge

ACE have stepped in to save Dusty Forge, an iconic Ely landmark which has been facing an uncertain future due to cuts in council services. The “Dusty” has a new life as a busy community centre, and a new name – “Our Place: Dusty Forge”.

ACE’s new home provides an exciting opportunity for local people to be involved in the planning and running of new activities from the centre.  Volunteers and staff have been preparing the building to house a community café, and arts and training projects.  It will also be home to Cardiff’s first ‘Men in Sheds’.

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved at Our Place: Dusty Forge.  Potential volunteer roles include: administration, grounds maintenance, welcoming and supporting visitors, painting and decorating and more, see our volunteering page for more volunteering opportunies.  If you’re interested, contact Dave at daveh@elycaerau.com or on 02920 003710.
