z-old-ACE Training – CSCS Card & Construction Site Safety

raining are running training courses for people to gain safety certificates to work on construction sites. If you pass the CSCS Card training, you can start working within a number of construction related industries.

Why have a CSCS Card?

To start work and develop a career in construction you will need to demonstrate your competency and expertise in the form of a CSCS card. Over 80% of sites are now complying with the CSCS scheme and without proof you could be turned away from site.

What do I need to do?

To get your CSCS Card:

Complete and pass the ‘Level 1 Health & Safety in the Construction Environment’ qualification which involves a one day course at the Dusty Forge leading up to an online assessment of your knowledge the following week. You only have to do this qualification once.

Complete the online Health and Safety Environment Test  (CSCS Test) which involves a 50 question multiple choice exam taken from the revision book of 400+ questions. This needs refreshing every five years.

After two to three weeks you will have completed both elements of the course and a card will be ordered and arrive within two days.

Course Duration:

Level 1 Health & Safety – 1 day
Level 1 & CSCS Tests – 2hrs
Cost: £215.

CSCS Tests only – Cost: £34* per test.

* The CSCS test is £21.00 per person; the additional cost is administration fees.

A commitment to one week of self-directed learning and revision is required.
